As our time in New Mexico is quickly drawing to a close we decided we better start doing some of the things that we won't find in Boston.
Family outing #1 the New Mexico Stampede
I've never been to a rodeo and I was pleasantly surprised...it was great fun! Those cowboys are very patriotic and the night started with all kinds of tributes to the men and women who serve and have served in the military. It's nice to be appreciated. :) Then they went right in to the bull riding. OH MY! Not something this mama would ever want her boys doing. Their bodies get tossed around like rag dolls. I don't see how they can walk after 8 seconds on a bull. But what can I say, we paid to watch it...guess that's why they keep doing it.
We really liked all the roping activities too. And you can't leave out the ladies. Those barrel racers were pretty fast. It was definitely a night of good family fun. We weren't even out of the parking lot and the kids were asking when we could go again. I'm cool with it...but as soon as one of them says they want to be a bull rider, we're done!
